The Future of radio?

Radio will no longer be about the 'free' delivery of music and audio - everyone else will have that, too (and at least in technical terms, a lot of it will be much better). Once music on the Internet is collectively licensed (i.e. within 1-3 years, depending on which territory we are talking about), on-demand streaming and downloading will simply be included in your Internet access - and Radio Broadcasters will need to add value by being the best possible curators.  Source Gerd Leonhard who calls himself a futurist. Found his blog the other day and that's what he thinks is the future of radio.   We say: yes more people will consume streamed media in the future but mass consumption of product can only be done over the airwaves either by good ole FM or DAB.
