Being Google they looked at all the data they had collected and created something they call 'Oxygen' a chance to breathe new life into their management structure. They came up with an interesting 8 point leadership qualities for good management:
Be a good coach by providing specific feedback and solutions, balancing negative and positive.
Don't micromanage but give your team challenging assignments and freedom in completing them.

Communicate and listen to everyone's concerns.
Help your employees with career development.
